Four new Praktica models were introduced
in 1976 - L2, LTL3, VLC2,
PLC2.
According to a 1976 advertiisment, the
improvements in the new models included:-
-
The fitting of a new focusing screen
of finer fresnel rings, increasing brightness considerably
- modified wind-on lever which now sits out from
the camera when in use, allowing for faster wind-on
- modifications to the shutter speed dial and
DA mechanism for increased speed of use
- the incorporation into both the 50 mm. f/1.8 Zeiss
Pancolor and Pentacon lenses of multi-coating for a considerable
reduction of flair potential
- the re-design of these particular lenses to incorporate
auto/manual switches
- internal modifications bring increased accuracy
and provide greater reliability. They include gold and platinum coated
contacts for extra conductivity
- modification of shutter mechanism specifically
redesigned to cover all climatic changes
There is also an LB2 which
appears to have been introduced at about the same time, but which
does not seem to appear in Praktica advertising.
